I know what a drain plug looks like and I have not found it so far under the deck?

on this model.

Sometimes the drain plug does not look like the standard square headed nut that forms the exposed portion of the drain plug. B & S frequently uses a 1/2" square depressed hole that is surrounded by the threaded drain plug. A 1/2" drive socked, or a 1/2" extension, fits into the drain plug for plug removal. It works better than the square headed plug for removal and replacement.
